The Baby Room

Children aged 10 months – 19 months

The Baby Room is designed as an introduction to care room. This room is most of our children’s first daycare experience and we aim to make it a positive one. Our providers work to build meaningful, trusting relationships with all of the babies.  Our baby room is equipped with Ergo baby carriers. The use of Ergo carriers allow babies who want to be carried to be carried while still allowing caregivers to interact with the other children.

The Baby Room follows a daily schedule which allows predictability and routine within the room. Babies begin to engage in circle time which includes songs, stories, rhymes and finger plays. Babies are introduced to crafts and art.

Babies are stimulated through open-ended toys, interactions with their care providers and learning opportunities. The Baby Room has a weekly theme which incorporates a variety of activities, craft and songs. This room is language rich and our babies are introduced to basic American Sign Language which helps to build language and eliminate communication frustration.
